Exploring the historical and current relationship between visual arts, dance and performance, the exhibition focuses on visual artists and choreographers from the last 50 years who create sculptures and installations that turn the audience into active participants, becoming more aware of their body – or even becoming a dancer.

HERE has been one of New York’s more prolific producing organizations since 1993, and today, stands at the forefront of the city’s presenters of daring, new, hybrid art. HEREart provides emerging and early career visual artists and curators access to space at an active, well-located multi-arts center. We focus on exhibitions that creatively work with our unique spaces and engage audiences with artwork that is specially curated to function within a busy environment.
