Singaporean artist and filmmaker Ho Tzu Nyen creates works that are fields of concrete sensations. In association with Sydney Festival 2011, Artspace presents the first major exhibition of his work in Sydney, including two live sound score performances by Melbourne-based composer and musician Oren Ambarchi accompanying screenings of the title work.

Animate Projects

A new film in four parts, Slow Action exists somewhere between documentary, ethnographic study and fiction. The work has its online premiere at animateprojects.org, coinciding with its exhibition at Matt’s Gallery, London from 26 January. Commissioned by Picture This and Animate Projects, in association with Matt’s Gallery, London.

Someone in their early twenties hands you a pamphlet and a pair of studio-styled headphones attached to a small electronic device. They tell you, ‘Press one to eleven’ and point to something that resembles an album track-listing, except. There are writers’ names instead of bands. Locations instead of songs. Strange?

Museion is managed by the Foundation Museion, established by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the Museion Association. The mission of the Foundation Museion is to collect, conserve, research, present and mediate contemporary art.
